Alicia

Synopsis

A young atheist named Jotta is dismantling his dead mother’s house after a long cancer. On the flashback, he invokes the battle he should have fought so she could die with dignity in that house. He is also in the search of answers in religion, science and politics.


Director's bio

Alejandro Rath was born in 1980 in Buenos Aires. He studied at Universidad de buenos Aires. In 2013 he co-directed ¿Quién mató a Mariano Ferreyra? with Julian Morcillo. The movie was nominated as best documentary film in Premios Sur y Premios Condor. He is part the collective/ group Puente Films along with other directors, He has edited the short film “La loca Matilde” (directed by Alberto Romero) and Pichuco (Martín Turner), selected by BAFICI 2014 and winner of the Condor de Plata for best documentary. He has also directed and produced the short film “Gestación”. Alicia is his first feature fiction film.
