Anconetani

Synopsis

In the old house of the Anconetani family, located in the Chacarita neighborhood of the City of Buenos Aires, the workshop, the instrument sales business and the Accordion Museum operate, which exhibits centennial instruments and preserves the family's history. Nazareno Anconetani is 91 years old and treasures the almost extinct profession of accordion maker. With his joy, and the magic of his stories, he transports us to a past where effort and work were a daily celebration of life.


Director's bio

SILVIA DI FLORIO: Buenos Aires, 1958. In 1989 he made the still photo for the feature film “A place in the world”, directed by Adolfo Aristarain. In 1993 she began to work on the edition of music videos for artists such as Juan Carlos Baglietto and León Gieco. He produces the record of images of the recording of the album "Circo Beat" by Fito Páez, in Argentina and Europe, and makes the video clip "Mariposa Teknicolor". From 2001 to 2003 he pre-produced, filmed, edited and post-produced his first documentary feature film "Raúl Barboza, the feeling of hugging." During 2004 he participated with the documentary "Raúl Barboza, the feeling of embracing" in different festivals: Huelva, Havana, Toulouse, Cinema du Reel (Paris), Sao Paulo and Jornadas da Bahía (Brazil). During 2007 and 2008 he pre-produced and recorded material for the documentary ESTELA, about the life of the President of the Grandmothers Association of Plaza de Mayo, Estela de Carlotto. In 2009 he post-produced and finished the documentary ESTELA. In 2010 he began filming the documentary ANCONETANI. From 2013 to 2015 he edited, post-produced and finished the documentary ANCONETANI. In 2015 he edited together with Boy Olmi the documentary he directs: “Jane & Pane”. In 2016 he began to develop a new project "PARTIDOS", about the Argentine exile in Madrid, Spain. In 2017 he advances in the development of “PARTIDOS” writing the script with Andrés Habegger and conducting several interviews with exiles and children of exiles. In 2019 he travels to Madrid and conducts interviews for the documentary “PARTIDOS”. In 2020, he made the short TIEMPOS OTROS, which will be part of the collective feature film LAS FRONTERAS DEL CUERPO (there are 15 short films), fully made in the first stage of confinement due to the Covid pandemic. In 2020 and 2021 he edits and continues with the post-production of the documentary “PARTIDOS” //////////////////// GUSTAVO CATALDI: Arg, 1964. He is a cameraman, cinematographer, editor and film director. As an independent filmmaker, he participated in EN LA VIA, a 13-chapter Documentary Series (as a cameraman and editor) broadcast on Channel 7 in 2001. Awarded in France on the Euro News network and declared of cultural interest in Cuba. Missionnaire on the life of Ivonne Pierron, a French nun who survived the last Argentine civil-military dictatorship (2004) (dir. Fernando Nogueira). Tekoa Arandu on a Mbya Guaraní Community (2007) (dir. Fernando Nogueira). La Santa Cruz (2007) (dir. Fernando Nogueira and María Cabreras). He made the photography and camera of: Recovered Stories (2004) (dir. Alejandro Barrientos), The roads of Atahualpa, Series of documentaries for TV (2007). Stolen Babies, Stolen Lives dir.
