Crespo (The persistence of memory)

Synopsis

After the death of his father, Eduardo Crespo embarks on a journey to film a movie as they would do together. A film about Crespo, the town where they come from, poultry farming, and the relationship between the father and son used to have. Now that the main character is no longer there, the film travels around the same places. Trying to put together, through the town collective memories and a personal memory, in order to reconstruct from all these details, the figure of the father who is not there anymore.


Director's bio

Eduardo Crespo was born in Crespo, Argentina, in 1983. Director of “We will never die” (2020) premiered in the Official Selection of the 68º San Sebastián International Film Festival and the International Competition of the 35º Mar del Plata International Film Festival. He also directed the documentary "Crespo (The persistence of memory)" (BAFICI, 2016) and "Close as Possible" (Mar del Plata, 2012) with the support of the Hubert Bals Fund. In 2014 he co-directed with Santiago Loza the TV series “Twelve Houses” on Argentine Public TV.
