Synopsis
Body-obsessed teenager Lucas and his mystically-inclined older sister, Gilda, unexpectedly become stranded when they travel to a nearly deserted coastal town to try to fulfill their dead mother’s last wishes in whatever way they can.
Director's bio
Mateo Bendesky (Buenos Aires, 1989).He studied at the Universidad del Cine (FUC). He directed the feature films Los Miembros de la Familia (2019) and Acá adentro (2013), and the short films Nosotros Solos (2017) and El Ser Magnético (2015).
His films have screened at numerous international film festivals, among which are Cannes, Berlin, Toronto, Rotterdam, Belfort, BAFICI, Thessaloniki, Macao, and AFI Fest.
He took part in TIFF's Filmmaker Lab, Toronto International Film Festival’s program for emerging directors, and was awarded fellowships from the MacDowell Foundation in the US and the Argentinian National Endowment for the Arts, among other institutions.
