Synopsis
Julieta walks by inertia dragging a broken family. At times she tries and at others she appears to give her two young children an ordinary and orderly life. Julieta can't and doesn't know how to contain her children and Teo is hurt. What happened? He, with his half tongue, still can't explain us. In a clinic guard, a doctor believes that Teo's body is guessing the story of family falls. The lights up and the abyss becomes visible.
Director's bio
Anahí Berneri was born in Buenos Aires in 1975. Her directorial debut with A Year Without Love (2005) won the 'Teddy Award' at the Berlinalel and the Fipresci at the MDQ Film Fest. It was also voted 'Best foreign Film' at the New York Newfest and the Los Angeles Outfest. Encarnación (2007), was presented for the first time in the official competition of the San Sebastián Festival, being awarded the Fipresci prize. Alanis won three awards in the 65th ed. at San Sebastián International Film Festival: 'Silver Shell' for best director, best actress –Sofia Gala– and 'Cooperación Española Award'.
