Synopsis
A young Jew works with his mother in a haberdashery in a gallery at the neighborhood of Once. He is starting the process to get polish citizenship and move to Europe. This film tells its story and the diversity of characters that inhabit the gallery and his father's life, who several years ago went to fight in the Yom Kippur War, and who is now reunited with his son.
Director's bio
Daniel Burman was born in Buenos Aires in 1973. He is one of the most prominent figures of New Argentine Cinema. He has directed eleven films and has produced more than seventeen movies. He has been awarded with the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival; Grand Prix of Public in Biarritz; FIPRESCI Prize at Valladolid; Coral Prize in Havana; Audience Award, Iberoamerican Film and SIGNIS at MDQ Film Fest. In 2008 he received the Achievement Award from the Israel Cinematheque during the Jerusalem Jewish Film Festival. In 2011 he received the Visionary Award, from the Washington Jewish Community Center at Washington International Jewish Film Festival.
