Mandarin Diamond

Synopsis

Buenos Aires 2001. In a supermarket in the suburbs a chinese family decides to close the market for the fear of the looting being committed throughout the city. The days pass by and the family tries to keep their normal lives but the fear of outside lurking breaks in their family life, over and over.


Director's bio

Born in 1979 in Buenos Aires, he majored in Image and Sound Design at the UBA. His first feature film as director and producer was “La Salada”, who won the last "San Sebastian Film Festival Cine en Construcción award" and had the international premiere in Toronto International Film Festival, also he participated in several festivals as BAFICI, Biarritz, La Habana, Panama, NY. His next job was a shortfilm called Mandarin Diamond that was part of the film “Argentina Short Stories 10” which was awarded prizes in several contests. The topic of his films is about the immigration problem. He is currently writing his next film called “The Strangers” and a documentary called “The moon represents my heart”.
