Miss

Synopsis

Robert is an Asian Argentine hired to take care of a house in a country, while his owner, a former Miss from the 50s, is on vacation. Robert falls in love with Laura and decides to follow her. They strike up a rare friendship. A series of characters will be part of the surreal landscape that surrounds Robert, where life is a colorful gallery of unexpected situations.


Director's bio

Robert Bonomo was born in the city of Buenos Aires and studied Social Communication at the University of Buenos Aires and advertising at the Fundación de Altos Estudios. He was assistant director and casting director in Rapado by Martín Rejtman (1990) and Casting Director for Carlos Sorín. He worked as a professor at the Universidad del Cine (F.U.C.). He directed the documentary "Thirteen and a half years" on the film Rapado by Martín Rejtman. He was a producer on the documentary "La Chica del Sur" by José Luis García. He directed more than 50 video clips for renowned Argentine bands such as Illya Kuriaki and the Valderramas, Juana Molina, Las Pelotas, Diego Frenkel, Antonio Birabent, Emmanuel Horvilleur, Lucas Marti, among others. His eclectic work includes pop music videos, experimental, video dance and documentaries. Between 2000 and 2018 he made more than 100 commercials for Argentina, the United States, Spain, Chile and Mexico. Miss is her first fiction feature film; it premieres at Bafici 2016 and participates in various national and international festivals. In 2017 he was nominated for Best First Feature, Newcomer Actor and Music at the Silver Condor Awards.
