Synopsis
In a world disconnected from time, descendants of European immigrants cultivate their land and traditions, but the plantations of the Lell brothers farm are threaten by a frost. And yet when a mysterious young woman appears, the frost stops. Hope emerges among the villagers, who start to worship her like a saint.
Director's bio
Maximiliano Schonfeld was born in 1982, in Crespo, Entre Ríos, Argentina. He studied at the National Film School (ENERC). In 2012 he wrote and directed Germania, winner of the NDR Award for Best First Feature in Hamburg, Special Jury Award and Feisal at the BAFICI, Best Film and Best Director in Punta del Este. Summoned to participate in the DOX: LAB of the Copenhagen Film Festival, he co-directs the medium-length film Auster, together with Kadri Kõusaar. His second film, The Black Frost is presented in the official Panorama section in Berlin. He is currently shooting his third film Jesús López.
