Synopsis
Débora is 11 years old and is deaf. Facundo, her brother, is 18 and doesn't want her to grow up. Together, they have fun setting cars on fire while their father is away, until one day things slip out of control.
Director's bio
Mateo Bendesky (Buenos Aires, 1989).He studied at the Universidad del Cine (FUC). He directed the feature films Los Miembros de la Familia (2019) and Acá adentro (2013), and the short films Nosotros Solos (2017) and El Ser Magnético (2015).
His films have screened at numerous international film festivals, among which are Cannes, Berlin, Toronto, Rotterdam, Belfort, BAFICI, Thessaloniki, Macao, and AFI Fest.
He took part in TIFF's Filmmaker Lab, Toronto International Film Festival’s program for emerging directors, and was awarded fellowships from the MacDowell Foundation in the US and the Argentinian National Endowment for the Arts, among other institutions.
